Braunshardt Castle
Finely restored in a picturesque location and highly praised as a “jewel of rococo architecture”, Schloss Braunshardt is a Sanssouci in miniature. The romatic salons of the Luisenflügel (Louise wing) represented a place to rest for Prussia's dazzling Queen Luise and Britain's Queen Victoria. The palace, where the famous publisher and friend of Goethe, Johann Heinrich Merck, was once a frequent visitor, is today a venue for conferences, parties and weddings. The impressive gardens surrounding the palace are ideal for a reflective stroll, far removed from the hustle and bustle of everyday (.)
