Pappenheim Castle
On premises that are three hectares in size, with a length of 300 m and walls stretching across altogether 1.5 km, Pappenheim Castle is an impressive sight to behold. The grounds hold a botanical garden with 1,300 kinds of plants and a historical herb garden with approx. 750 medical and useful plants. Our nature and hunting museum comprises specimens of all indigenous animals. By pressing a button the sounds they make can be discovered. In the historical museum, two exhibitions are dedicated to the life and works of the famous field marshal Gottfried Heinrich of Pappenheim.
